Technical Writer with JavaScript (Remote)​

About this role​

We're on a mission to help developers deliver software faster. Handsontable, our flagship product, has become one of the world's most popular JavaScript data grid components.

We are now seeking a Technical Content Writer to join our team. If you want to join a team building an application that is used by half of the Fortune 500, we'd love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript, technical writing, and a passion for creating clear, concise, and engaging content for the front-end developers community.

You will plan and execute content strategy across our documentation (70% of the time), blog, and social media (30%).

About you​

  • Passionate content writer with 5+ years of experience in writing technical documentation that includes documenting features available for JS/TS/React.
  • Proven track record in creating content for developer audiences, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs, challenges, and preferences.
  • Experience in translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable content with the help of charts and tables.
  • Experience in planning and maintaining the content creation process.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt writing style and tone to resonate with specific audiences.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (C1/C2).
  • Familiarity with GIT/HTML/CSS/Markdown and collaborative writing tools (Obsidian or similar).
  • Strong communication skills

Your role​

  • Taking ownership of the docs creation and maintenance process.
  • Taking ownership of communicating the new version of products to our customers, partners, and the internal team.
  • Planning and executing technical content strategy.
  • Writing and proofreading content that drives engagement and educates our audience, including blog posts and social media content.
  • Proofreading customer success stories.
  • Creating our internal and external newsletters.
  • Collaborating closely with outsourced writers to ensure smooth content creation processes and maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Researching and staying up-to-date on industry trends and new releases of popular frameworks.
